Putting your wordpress blog on Amazon’s Kindle (& getting paid by subscribers!)

If you’ve worked hard on your blog, it would be nice to get paid by some subscribers, wouldn’t it?  Well, the fine folks at Amazon offer a path to let you do it for anyone who has a Kindle device. The process is fairly quick and painless.  Let’s get started!

  1. Setup a self-hosted version of WordPress if you haven’t already.
  2. Setup an account at Feedburner if you don’t have one already.
  3. OPTIONAL: Install the FD Feedburner plugin.
  4. OPTIONAL: In your wordpress control panel, look at the menu bar under ‘Plug-ins’ and click on ‘Feedburner Configuration’

    Optional but recommended - Redirecting your RSS feed to Feedburner

  5. OPTIONAL: Drop in your unique feedburner URL (ie. into the ‘Redirect My Feeds here’ box.
  6. Setup a new vendor account at: (note: this is a unique amazon account, it’s not connected to any other amazon account you may already have).
  7. After you are logged in to your Amazon Kindle Blog Publishing account, click on ‘Your Blogs’ and add your Feedburner URL.
  8. After your 48-72 hours, your blog should be searchable on Amazon!
  9. Get busy creating great content! You’ve just be listed on the largest eTailer on the planet!

When all is successful, you will arrive at a page like this:
